Hello, my name is Gargi!
Putting down your thoughts on a piece of paper is one of the best forms of therapy. But there’s so much more to this form of art than we think.
I am a fellow newbie writer who is either constantly immersed in imagining otherworldly scenarios, admiring the beauty of nature, or weaving words together that appeal to the soul. You will most probably find me writing poems, counting clouds, or basking in the sun. I am a huge advocate for slow and intentional living that lets you experience the wonders of this life to the fullest. And you will see the influence of that on Books and Oranges too.
Books and Oranges is a place for, of course, books and literature. But that’s not all. Over here, I also share my reflections on subjects close to my heart, personal stories, inspirations, etc. It is an initiative to ground oneself in any given scenario and use literature and the art of writing as not just an escape, but also an important tool to read in between the lines of the book called life. The oranges are nothing but a metaphor for slow, intentional, mindful living. But they also denote a personal side of me. Not to mention, I love oranges!
By writing for this blog, I am able to pause and reflect on things that shouldn’t be forgotten so easily. I started this blog to create a productive outlet for myself. All my major reflections, stories worth sharing, and valuable pieces of literature, find a place on this blog. As much as it is a space for like-minded folks who enjoy art and writing as much as I do, it is a big chunk of my personality. As I learn and grow as a writer, this blog will be a witness to all my lessons and experiences. Join me and stay tuned as I keep posting on this silent, isolated place on the internet.
